William Tell Coleman reminiscence : typed transcript, [undated].

Typed copy of an 1878 reminiscence describing Coleman's experience on board the steamship Tennessee in 1853, en route from New York to San Francisco via Panama, in which he took over the physician's duties during an outbreak of yellow fever. Coleman briefly relates this experience to that of his having served on the vigilance committees, as illustration of his impulse to assist others in times of crisis.
